        Fragile.

Instructions are vague, so be careful, and have some crazy glue ready.
Very cute when finished, but too fragile for young kids.
Just for looks not to play with.
I have now put 10 of theses together for Christmas gifts this year. One of the reviews said her grand daughter put this together in 2 1/2 hours. She must me amazing!! It takes me about 8 hours to put one together, however, I learned from the first one that you need to be very careful and sand every part. Also to make it run smoothly you need to wax all the moving parts exceptionally well.

        Unique and fun project.

I've done several of these kits and this one is my favorite so far. The horses are VERY fragile, I broke two of them in half trying to put them together.

        Fun build for me.

This build takes time don't be in a hurry parts are fragile be sure to wax any thing that rubs together and and and polish it got my town nail finger sanding boards and used wood glue which makes it solid build I'm now finishing up with one horse and small flowers and trim giving my fingers a break some very small parts just be gentle

        Interesting project!

I bought it as a gift to my mom. I like the whole look and idea. It has a good instructions, but due to small pieces, it was hard to assemble. You need to be very patient and careful not to crack them.

Our favorite new addition to our living room

Very good model that will be quite challenging to get all of the wood gears and cams working. Mine does work pretty well. Suggestions: all moving parts must be sanded and waxed with attention. I did use petroleum jelly for much of the horse crank gearing. I did need super glue at times but be certain that you won’t need to move again. Above all, remember that it takes more pressure to press some pieces together than it takes to break them. Directions are fine and there will be some duplicate pieces that will come in handy if you did not pay attention to the last sentence. Take your time, take breaks and don’t craft and drink.

Want a challenge? Try this thing.

Make sure you use the wax to get good motion. I love the final product and was fun to build. Also make sure you buy some super glue. I had about 5 small pieces break when assembling the glue fixed them.

        Most satisfying build.

Not only are these wooden puzzles fun, but also are working models. The locomotive actually runs and the carousel turns and plays music. They are so well made that no glue is needed to assemble. They come with instruction booklets that gives step by step ways to assemble the items. Spring mechanisms are included for functionality.

This is the best model! Look for this brand!

One of the more detailed puzzles my husband has done yet. I bought him one for Christmas and now we already have 7. This being his 7th one. He is definitely addicted and will be looking for more.

        Simply Superb!

I wanted a gift that would take time to assemble so the person receiving the gift would truly appreciate the clock that they had put together not just some random machine. It is a challenge but at the end you know that you put it together and created it.

        Takes much patience and finesse.

I very much enjoyed making this. After every step in the beginning I made sure the unit cycled and played the music. Seemed to be working fine. But by the time I got to the end, the gears weren't as aligned as I thought and now, finished, the mechanism cycles about 1/4 around and then stops. I nudge it and it will go another 1/4 cycle. I feel that if I were to make it again I could understand where the gears are sticking. I may do that but not at this time. All the steps are dependent on the previous. There is no way to get to sticking areas without taking the entire thing apart.
The parts are very sturdy. I only broke two pieces when trying to force them into place. The pieces actually are marked very well and are easily fit together with a little sanding. I used mini files rather than sandpaper. In all, I'm pretty happy with entire experience. Since it was my first, I'm sure I could do better next time.
This was painted after it was all put together. If I make another, I would like to color the pieces before assembly. That seemed pretty daunting since there are around 400 pieces and I wasn't sure where they would go in the end. It will be clearer if I make the same one again.
