        Was an absolute blast to build & decorate! I love it!

        This was so much fun for me. I've always wanted to do something like this and now I have. I have it at my work and I keep getting so many compliments on it. It was definitely worth all the work. At first I was a little overwhelmed by the fact there were no instructions but once I started on it I figured it out and managed just fine. For anyone wanting to order one be sure to keep the box because the pictures on the back are the only "instructions" there are.

        The wood is not the greatest quality.

        I am an avid jigsaw/model builder. I sent away for this thinking it was an average sized villa. NO WAY !! It's huge. I was taken aback by the 11 sheets of wood containing pieces that needed to be popped out, numbered, sanded (a few pieces), glued (when finished), etc. I was determined to build this however. Yes, the wood is not the greatest quality...Yes, the 11 panels of numbers to follow on the back of the box are extremely small ( I scanned the back of the box, used my "snipping tool" in the windows software, and made whole page pictures of each panel on my ipad)...but it's still worth it. I made the Wrebbit NYC 3d Midtown East puzzle and that was certainly more difficult - months actually. Some of the windows on the box cover are not completed, and one of the pieces in the panel didn't match the punch out piece. I also couldn't get the chimney to look like the photo - but I believe I followed my numbers correctly. All in all, it's fantastic to look at when completed - and it was certainly worth the effort.

        Quick 3D puzzle

        This is a small set -- less than 30 pieces or so -- and the finished product is really cute. The song -- You are My Sunshine -- is one of my favorites, and it plays smoothly with the little crank. However, the directions are a bit confusing -- if this had been my first set, I would have definitely mixed up some pieces -- and the wood was pretty splintery when popping them out. I didn't have any sandpaper on hand, and there wasn't any included, so something to keep in mind. There also wasn't any glue, but the pieces fit together very tightly, so it's still holding together without glue. Overall, though, this was a fun, quick (well less than an hour) build.
