Vintage Car
Vintage cars in the Brass Era are milestones in automotive history. They are masterpieces of craftsmanship and technology, representing the unique charm of that era. 3D Wooden Puzzle Vintage Car is a 1:15 scale replica that will take you back to the 1910s, a revolutionary time for the automobile industry. With a “runabout” body style that's reminiscent of horse-drawn buggies, it boasts a streamlined fender with lines that run continuously from front to rear and fender aprons that partially conceal the wheels.

Lots of parts challenging. Took awhile but I’m in no hurry. Lots of bent parts. I did enjoy it

Pay attention
We got it all done and realize the top was backwards so I had to try real hard to turn it around and not break. It ended up being very nice.

Backseat Builders Beware!
Assembling this 3D Wooden Puzzle Vintage Car is like stepping into a time machine, minus the actual time travel. With 298 pieces, it’s a test of skill, patience, and possibly your relationships. Ever wondered if your partner is secretly a puzzle saboteur? Well, you’re about to find out! Pro tip: After you’ve pieced this vintage beauty together, dab a bit of superglue on the tiny parts. It’s a game-changer if you have curious kiddos or pets who think your model car is their new chew toy. Trust me, a little glue can save a lot of "Oops!" moments.

Precision in 2d parts assembling into the 3rd dimension
The package has a shrink-wrapped stack of 8 pretty thin sheets of flawless plywood, laser-cut into mostly tiny intricate pieces inside a paperboard box which also contains a square of medium-fine sandpaper and a fold out double-sided instruction sheet with pictures and minimal text. (...and a small clear film bag of tiny brass pins: 4 plus spares.) Since the stack of wood parts came bound in plastic film, I just oriented myself about the part numbering (LetterNumber, e.g., E21, surface-marked directly on parts or on nearby waste zone for tiny parts; with most same-lettered on the same sheet). I figured missing parts were unlikely. The instructed order of assembly is mostly alphabetic.Having no prior experience with 2mm thick plywood parts which must be removed from their sheets by breaking the tiny retaining tabs, I proceeded with caution. That, combined with sanding the resultant nubs, and careful pacing, gave me a three-session build of (guessing) 8-10 hours. The described 4 hours kit time I'd guess isn't typical. I needed only one of the spare wooden parts (C10: it's depicted "plane of flexing" on the diagram became clearer after I broke it.) The hood (or bonnet) had flex sections formed of larger interconnecting slats than other parts, so I couldn't get it to seat its tabs on the radiator end. I pressed a little harder to seat it, but only achieved a not-so-bad break of the end (no spare for this one).

Fantastic looking wooden model!
This is only my third wooden model build but, I have to say, the thinkpuzzles car kit is a fantastic build! The model comes with an instruction sheet and a number of wooden sheets with all parts labeled with both a letter and a number. The parts are all well stamped and I didn't have a problem with any of them breaking when removing them. Included is also a small piece of sandpaper which comes in very handy for cleaning up connection points where small splinters may remain after punching out the parts. The instructions are clear and concise and very easy to follow as well. Assembly wasn't difficult although there were a small number of parts that were fragile and were damaged when putting them in place. This is where the ThinkPuzzles set really shines. In other models, fragile parts broke and required glue and some hope that they would hold. The think puzzles set comes with MULTIPLE replacement parts for these pieces! That came in very handy! The age range shows as 14 and up and I think that this is an accurate range. While it isn't a difficult build, there is a lot of finesse required when inserting one part into another when it requires pressure, but also care. The end product looks great and will definitely be on display in my living room along with my brick set builds. It is very satisfying to see such a great looking model after the work put into building it. It is definitely worth the $20 asking price in my opinion.

Lovely!
I really loved working on this. Of all of the wooden puzzle designs I've seen, this is definitely one of my top two.All of the pieces come in small sheets that look to be laser cut and small details laser-burned. You have to be a little careful popping the pieces out, the smaller ones are easier. The large ones tend to be more delicate. Fortunately most of the large intricate pieces come with an extra or two in the likelihood that you break the first one. This happened to me twice, so I was glad to have those extras. One of the medium-sized pieces broke as I was trying to attach smaller pieces to it, so you have to be careful, which is likely why the puzzle is rated 14+.The instructions are mostly clear. I think somewhere along the way, either the instructions weren't clear or I made a mistake and mirrored the floorboard. Now I have nowhere to put the handbrake- a small detail that will likely go unnoticed. Altogether, it took me a few days to put it together, working on it a few hours at a time. I love that the kit comes with a small piece of sandpaper; I used it to get rid of the small knobs or splinters that come from breaking the pieces out. This undoubtedly added time to the build, but I think lends to a cleaner outcome. If you like crafts, Legos, or woodworking, I highly recommend getting thus! So much fun!

Moderately easy wooden car kit
This was a surprisingly fun wooden car kit to assemble. As usual for ThinkPuzzles kits, all of the instructions are excellent and the assembled car has lots of detail. This kit might be good for a beginner. It will help train patience. Some particularly small or delicate pieces have duplicates. You must be extremely careful when removing pieces from their framework. I suggest pushing from the back side. The pieces do fit properly, but sometimes require a bit of force to connect them together. Often the piece tab is rectangular but the hole has rounded corners. The wood is soft enough for the tab to adapt to the hole shape and it will maintain a good connection. Occasionally, I had some difficulty trying to determine how to hold the current assembly so that I could press in the tab of a new piece. This mainly occurred when I was almost done. You just have to take your time and don’t try to force anything too quickly. I suggest some good narrow tweezers to aid in assembly. Older folks should also have a lighted magnifying glass near by to clearly illuminate the illustrations.

A FUN AND CHALLENGING PROJECT
I have been building these type projects for several years now. I am 77 and enjoy the, sometimes, challenging aspect of these little kts. This little touring car was great fun assembling and the results are nice. All the pieces fit very nicely - it amazes me how well the parts are designed to allow such precession assembling. On all these type kits I find some of the parts falling out of place during assemble - so I apply a tiny bit of super glue to hold parts in place. I CAUTION YOU that if you use super glue be careful - be absolutely sure the assembly is correct. In some cases I will assemble the whole project and then dab super glue here and there just to hold it together. I also use a tiny tip on the super glue when applying. Great fun for me.

Lots Of Tiny Pieces
This is a great model/puzzle with lots of detail. Took me about a week to complete, working a little at a time. I'm an old dude, but no - I didn't take Driver's Ed. in a car like this (but an old Plymouth Valiant with "3 on the tree"). It's sitting proudly on the fireplace mantle now.So I won't lie - this is a tedious project and at least at a couple of points, I was seriously thinking about stress testing this project against my fireplace. But I took a deep breath - and then a short walk, and everything was fine again. And I really do like the way this sits nicely on my fireplace mantle. So it was definitely worth it and my wife was probably happy I had something to keep me busy for awhile.

really cool and fun. thought i'd break more pieces then i actually did
i love doing these and no matter how careful i am i always break something. and of course it's never the pieces i think i'll break. i'll glue them later(they are 100% on the car in the pics broken). it still looks cool. no glue is required btw. this was really easy. instructions are very clear. it's definately fun and the end product looks great. another great product from this seller. the attention to detail is great, specially for something done out of wood. no screws in this at all and no glue required. it's held together 100% by the way it's assembled and the fitment of the pieces. overall very cool with an awesome look. recommend - absolutely.

Enjoyed Building
The 3D wooden puzzle was so much fun to build. I am thinking of ordering another one. The details and quality of this puzzle is awesome. The parts are Lazer cut and fit great. All the parts fit together nicely. Made for an enjoyable little project. To me this is more of a wooden model, than it is a puzzle. Either way very enjoyable to build.

Fun to build and looks great!
My son *loved* building this. It took him several hours (and gave me several hours of quiet) :-) It looks great when assembled, and has a few moving parts like the wheels and doors. This is a fun project and a great conversation piece. I love getting these projects for a gift or to keep on hand for a rainy day.
