3D Wooden Puzzle Steam Train Journey

Thinkpuzzles is a high quality merchant and since 3D puzzles are the craze right now, when I saw this, I had to try it out. I purchased this for a snowy day when you can’t go outside. The kind of day where you just want to sit by a fire and drink hot cocoa. The retro vintage theme is very classy and looks to be a challenge. The directions are clear and easy to read. The box contains an instruction manual, two plastic bags containing plastic parts and brass pins and a few sheets of wooden parts. The wooden parts are thick, sturdy and of good quality. Anyone who loves trains or a puzzle challenge with be fascinated with this 3D train. I highly recommend and give it 5 stars. It’s a great puzzle for a fair price.

This is probably the best gift I've ever gotten for my son. The model itself is beautiful. Having completed several models myself, this is truly one of the most detailed and finely crafted ones I've seen. The colors are rich and vibrant , and I can tell that alot of care goes into the manufacturing of this product. I love that with this kit , not only did my son get a very nice looking model of a train ( which he loves ) we also got to spend a lot of quality time together which is priceless. This model was just the right difficulty to throw in some frustration for my younger child , which is great because that adds to the sense of accomplishment. In the end, we got an awesome looking model and some amazing quality time. I couldn't recommend this enough!

I ordered this as a gift for my Dad. He's the hardest human to buy for, but I knew he'd love this. Great gift for a dad or uncle who likes old stuff. This just hits the spot. I have done several of these myself, and I just enjoy the process of building. 10/10

I ordered this for my oldest who enjoys all of those as well as things like customizing Transformers, so I knew he would have no trouble assembling this easily. Children would definitely need help preparing and assembling this, making it a fun family project until it gets to the more frustrating parts. I wouldn't advise trying to assemble this in one sitting. But once it's put together, it's a better looking and higher quality display piece than most of our previous 3D puzzles and some of the other models vehicles. I think how many boxes this checks makes it a better value than something like a plain cardboard 3D puzzle.

This train is a great project to put together with the family. Three-D puzzles can be challenging but this is easy to follow from the instructions. It is nice that it comes with sandpaper to smooth down any rough edges, as well as glue (if needed). I really like the colors on it-it's nice that it is not just plain wood. I think it looks really nice on display. You do need to be a little careful with the pieces so you won't crack them. This would be a great project to do with a kid to improve their fine motor skills. It may take a little longer than the four hours recommended, but it is well worth it for such a great finished project!

The kit contained 405 pieces on six sheets of painted hardboard and two smaller sheets of painted plywood. The also included four plastic pieces, a sheet of plastic fabric, brass nails, stickers, 2-sided tape and a well written book of instruction. No glue is needed. The model took me about 14 hours to assemble, including the time I spent sanding and staining the edges where the parts were attached to the sheets. This step isn't required, but I highly recommend it for a better look. The finished model is 14.25" long, 4.5" wide and 6" tall. I truly enjoyed building this kit, but I wouldn't recommend this one for beginners.
