DIY Hideout Gun 3D Wooden Puzzle

I gave this to my husband for Christmas. He loves it!It took him about three hours to put it together, but as you can see It looks amazing!It shoots up to six rubber bands at one time.He is definitely going to add some of the other models to the collection.

This is a model building kit for adults (14+) which happens to be a fully working semi-automatic rubber band gun with working slide action (and a slide lock).It is primarily made out of high quality laser cut plywood parts, but also includes some metal pins and screws to hold things together and some plastic injection molded parts (primarily used internally for the rubber band gun mechanism).The instructions are almost 100% pictorial and easy to follow, clearly illustrating every step, but it still took me almost 3 hours to assemble this kit, so budget your time accordingly.

I ordered this as a family gift with the intention of my husband, teen son, and 5 yo doing the project together. Naturally, the youngest won't help with much beyond observing. But that's why it's extra cool that the puzzle does something when it's complete.Beautiful puzzle. Box notes this is a build for 14+. Seems about right unless your child is already doing puzzles and builds recommended for older kids.Very fun to assemble, play with and look at.I love that ThinkPuzzles has so many more great and gorgeous puzzles to choose from.

One of the best wooden puzzle you can have ,a lot of attention to details, excellent instruction manual,all building tools included. I have over 20 different wooden puzzles models, ThinkPuzzles use to be the first model I ever built the outcome was they hooked me up on this hobby. The price range of the model right on the money no matter how much you pay the outcome always above expectations.

This was a fun build. It took me around two hours to finish it, and I'm a very experienced and efficient builder. I don't think it would be possible to build it in less than an hour and a half. Honestly I think it would take most people 2.5+ hours.The details are fantastic. I just love how it looks, and I'm extremely impressed with how smoothly it functions. Without exaggeration this is the best rubber band gun I've ever used. I've been shooting things around my house all day!

This kit had best instructions of any wood puzzles. Super tight so pieces don’t fall off. Very attractive when done. Down side is pieces are so tight you have to take a small file and taper most pieces. Round file for holes. Then put wax on every piece. Rivets and screws very small. And also very tight. I say springs are even smaller and hard to put in. This is not a 2 hour build, don’t believe that crap. More like a ten hour. Also need a couple of needle nose pliers to push in some parts and a small hammer for the rivets. I would say great for a 15 year old kid that is a model builder and has craft tools. That said This ThinkPuzzles brand of wood puzzles is the best!

I bought this for my 13 year old nephew and to say that he likes it would be an understatement! He sat down and built it in Christmas Eve! It is a little overwhelming when you open it and see all the pieces and parts! And the instructions are a little confusing for a teen but he managed to get it done and was so proud of himself for doing it! It took him about 5-6 hours to complete. He loves that it came with targets and actually shoots! It’s a beautiful design and works great! It’s a great value for all the details and design! It is a very well made product! We have already ordered more! We highly recommend this product and the ThinkPuzzles brand!

We have an experienced, teenage 3D kit builder in the house that's made quite a few of the more complicated kits from ThinkPuzzles. For them this was a quick build in an evening. For the less experienced, it might take a bit more time and attention to the details. Pieces well etched and cut out, instructions easy to understand. Lots of small pieces that you don't want to lose so make sure cats, dogs and any small hands aren't around to "help." Use sandpaper and wax if you need to, to make connections a little easier. Don't force the wood or you might snap the delicate pieces. Plenty of rubber bands included for target practice.

I love putting together wood puzzles like this. It took only about an hour or two to put this one together. Once I got this together, the action works great and my kid loves it. The plastic parts that are used as part of the action are sturdy enough to hold up to his use. He also loves the semi-auto action for quick, repeated shots.

I got this for my son who loves building things - lego, wooden blocks, etc. He put this together quick! And its study. He said he didn't have anything break like some of the other wooden puzzles and building kits have happen on him. All the pieces were nicely cut and easy to remove from the sheet of wood. The institutions were super easy to follow. He did it all by himself
