Chocolate Factory Marble Run 3D Wooden Puzzle

Thick boards with an exception of a single board that was needed for specific parts. No warping of boards at all. Metal axes and no toothpicks whatsoever. Lighting harness held up to lots of bending and twisting and never broke. All the cuts were precise and parts came off without issue.Engineering and design are also top notch. Lots of functional gearing throughout the base of the model. I really enjoy kits that have functional mechanics as this one does. The first half of the build is assembly of the mechanism with the second half being more of the aesthetics. All the lighting is nicely recessed, and the battery compartment is so over engineered it makes me smile to play with it.The use of colored parts is a welcome addition as I grow tired of all the painting I've been doing on other models. The final product has a high quality look to it without any customization. I highly recommend this kit.

Great build that took around 30 hours to complete. Very decorative and cute. Anyone who builds kits by ThinkPuzzles knows the need to pay very close attention to every single step to ensure correct assembly. Also, for marble runs, it's important to continue testing the functionality throughout the build. The worst is when you build the whole thing assuming you did everything right, only to find it doesn't work at the end. Recommended for anyone who wants a challenging, yet fun project!

My eleven year old got this for Christmas and between the two of us we had it done between Christmas and New Year's day. It is absolutely adorable, with a lot of sweet little 'hidden' details, and he is so proud of himself. The only complaint is that we constantly worked the gears each step of the way to ensure they were going smoothly and almost as soon as we installed the last portion that enclosed them and made them inaccessible, something went wrong and now instead of the beautiful smoothness, it's choppy and difficult, so he and my husband are going to try and figure out a way to get it apart enough to find the problem. Such a shame because it really does work beautifully.

What can i say!!! I love this one! It is time consuming and some of the parts are very fragile..keep glue by you. But I loved putting it together! Pieces fit where they were supposed to. Directions were clear to read. However alittle misleadleading with the stick to make the gears to go smoothly the pictures says grey area which there is not a gray area. But so much fun. And the end is pretty my kids love it! As everyone I shared the video with. Recommend getting this if you need that time to decompress. But beware you will not be able to stop until you are done.

This product is well made and the included details makes it look like a chocolate factory. This is my first time purchasing from this company and doing a 3d puzzle. With that being said the instructions are relatively easy to follow along, it is a tedious task, and the parts are well made. I just started putting together the factory and my fingertips are a little bruised.

I bought the marble run as well, and this was by far easier to assemble. This has better quality wood pieces that don't break easy. I did not have to glue anything. The instructions were also spot on.
I was impressed that there was wax included in the kit! It was really well thought out. It was fun to assemble all in all.
I just think the marble run is more fun to play with but this kit was way better and way more fun to assemble.

This went together relatively easily.
Amazing how the pieces fit so perfectly, with no glue.
Used an X-Acto knife (on backside mostly) to get the pieces out without breaking. The easily breakable pieces have spares. Very impressed, will buy more from thinkpuzzles.

My husband built this in about 2 days. It really is beautiful. There is a problem with the marbles, they don't slide as they are supposed to and there weren't batteries for the lights. Otherwise, it was a excellent project and we both love it.

I just received this for my birthday from my daughter. I have complete four 3D wooden puzzles, Thinkpuzzles, by far my favorite to assemble. Reason one: great instructions Reason 2: well made! I read other reviews that state this is more for looks than it is as a working marble run. When I first completed it, I was believing what I read. I took a break for a day and went back to it to see if I could get it working as designed. There were pieces that were not quite angled enough for gravity to do it's job and I had to sandpaper an area that the balls kept getting stopped at. I also had to use a small amount of Alien tape to hold two pieces down that would not hold at the correct angle. After the little discoveries and tweaks it works perfectly as designed as a cute whimsical marble run!!! Love thinkpuzzles's Chocolate Factory!!!! FANTASTIC gift idea for someone that likes a challenge with great rewards!!!

I built it in 2 days. I really enjoyed building it. The instructions are very good but you do have to pay close attention to all the details. The laser cuts are very precise and all pieces snapped out easily. I used a sharp razor to cut the small connections from the pieces to the frame first to prevent splitting. They gave more than enough spares. The finished marble run works smoothly and is beautiful to look at.

I absolutely loved kits like these as a kid and this does not disappoint. The precision with this one is absolutely outstanding. I remember having to sand down everything to get the gears to work smoothly. Not this kit. just sanding to remove the occasional burr from where the pieces were attached to the board and a bit of the included wax. It took me about 2 days to complete. my kit was missing the batteries for the lights but not the end of the world. I did have to take part of my kit apart and rework the wiring for the lights as my instructions were unclear about which wire to use on which step, but once I figured that out it made perfect sense! I absolutely will be looking into more of these!
