I had a lot of fun making this one. This took me a couple evenings after all the other chores had been done. There were a few parts that I had a little trouble with, but the instructions were clear enough for me after going back and looking at them more closely. The stamping can be a little temperamental such as when the ink pad doesn't quite saturate the stamps. All-in-all, it is worth the money, time, and effort to make it.

First let me say that as a Vine reviewer I try to pick products that I think I will like. When this came on my vine list it was a must have. I have been building ROKR wood models for years and I have never had one that I didn’t like. These are one of the best brands.
This comes with everything needed to build an actual small printing press. This is not a beginner item, so I don’t recommend for first time builders of these type crafts. They require lots of patience but are very rewarding when done. These actually work also. This one has 303 pieces and a lot of these pieces are tiny so it’s also a good idea to have a small crafting kit with pliers meant for small items. Another nice thing with ROKR brand is it always includes extra pieces for those that are can break easily, and most the time that doesn’t happen if you are patient and take your time. This is meant as a hobby to enjoy not to be rushed.I 100% recommend this item.

This kit was very complex and challenging to put together! Overall it was usual high quality with good instructions and lots of spare parts, but it's overly complicated design made the assembly rather difficult, especially the operating mechanism and some of the smaller decorative details. Not for first-timers!

Lots of pieces, yet easy to assemble. Finished product quite attractive. One downside, the printing itself is not great. This is probably my favorite wood puzzle I’ve assembled in a long time. I’ve assembled dozens of these style puzzles over the years, and ROKR has to be my favorite brand. All the pieces come out clean, and need very little touchup. Everything fits together snugly. Out of any puzzle I’ve assembled, this is probably the most complex (and I’ve assembled their pinball table before). While I had a lot of fun with it (both during assembly, and after assembled), I can see this being too complex for some. If you’re just getting started with wood puzzles, I would recommend a different starting point. If you’re experienced with these, then this is a great challenge!

I love this it's so pretty and it was a challenge to put together but now it's so nice.
These wooden models aren't meant to be precision instruments. They're not going to print perfectly and it should be obvious with everything being so tiny, that the pieces are going to be tiny.

It comes with plenty of wax and the piece cut is done quite well so it moves rather decently.

We had no trouble with burn marks, chips, or release from the boards. Also decent quality wood for the job.

The puzzle was very hard to build and the result was fascinating! I will definitely buy more!

Printing Press (303 Pieces)Thank you! What a great set to try! These are slightly more challenging than the adult Lego or trickier mini & micro 'not-legos'! There is more than one discipline required with its skill set, so does feel 'more adult' than an adult lego. There is a slight hesitant in breath before plunging in lol! It was great though, do have to follow along such as waxing the parts and keeping the model moving as you go. A lot of care is required, there are a lot of delicate pieces. No glue or additional tools, as such, were required, your own tweezers & hobby knife however may be preferred! A visually pleasing, well thought out detailed model & result. Overall, a satisfying & rewarding experience. Thank you!

I love to put these wooden models together and this was the first one that was more than just wood. It had metal parts, plastic parts, paper, wood, screws and other items used in putting it together. In fact when you put it together it's a fully functioning mini printing press. It was actually fun to build and I would recommend for teens to adult. It surprisingly works really well after getting it together and it runs smoothly when its finished if you follow the directions and make sure you wax all the parts that it points out. I had two issues with it though. I checked the path of one of the wires numerous times like it was in the instructions and I could not get the end of it to be where it was supposed to be. It was like 2 inches or so short. Also the light off/on switch, even though the model was moving it up and down was not going on or off. Might just be the one I got. All in all you will have fun building this model and you will be surprised how many moving parts it has. I will rate this 4 out of 5 due to the two issues I had but I would not let that stop you from buying and building it. Loads of fun if you want a mini printing press that actually works.

I'm an avid fan of handcrafts, from building Legos to crocheting and tufting, and I have a passion for collecting various stationery items. So, how could I resist trying out this 3D press puzzle? Having previously assembled wooden 3D puzzles, I understand the importance of delicacy in detaching and connecting each piece. Building this puzzle proved to be a wonderful stress reliever, filled with enjoyment. I appreciate the intricate details, and the printing function is simply amazing. Highly recommended for fellow craft lovers!

This is my second 3D wooden puzzle. Like the other one, this one too has precision cut pieces for a perfect fit. Instructions are pretty good, but may occasionally require some prior experience or sensible creativity - but that's part of the fun of the challenge. The printing press is not just wood, there are wires and mechanics as well. This makes it more suitable for adults or older children. Once completed not only does it actually print, but your friends and family will be amazed and impressed. I'd also consider it somewhat educational. This may become a birthday gift for a friend whose great Grandfather actually ran an old-fashioned printing press. Because he ran press with the alphabet blocks backwards, he always read books and newspapers upside down.
